Dome

The entrance dome features a layered multimedia installation, showcasing a digital artwork titled “Silk Road: Traces in the Sand. ”
The erosive traces of wind become time's sculpting tool, with stratified sedimentary layers capturing moments of convergence between Eastern and Western civilizations. Looking up, the sun on the dome stands as the timeless beacon that has guided the Silk Roads for millennia, bearing witness to countless journeys.

Dougong

The design of the museum gracefully accentuates traditional Chinese intangible cultural crafts through the language of modern architecture. A focal point within the museum is the Intangible Cultural Heritage Craft Columns — each one a magnificent tribute to the hallmark elements of Chinese palatial architecture. They celebrate the detailed artistry of the cloisonné enamel technique and the architectural ingenuity of the “dougong,” an emblem of the structural wisdom and historical significance encapsulated in the official Chinese building style.

Stone Floor

The museum's stone floor, inlaid with traditional cultural motifs, illustrates a journey traversing the 12 countries of the historic Silk Road. Arranged from east to west, it mirrors the ancient route's trajectory on the global map, revealing shared heritage connections.

The central pattern features vibrant Brazilian Amazon Green marble and dynamic Dragon and Phoenix patterned stone—bold in color and rich in texture. Framed by Canadian dark brown wood-grain marble, the composition introduces a sense of restraint and stability. Together, they balance movement and stillness, shaping a space that evokes historical depth and modern elegance.
