To celebrate the exquisite traditional culture of China and in honor of Cultural and Natural Heritage Day on June 14, the POLY MGM MUSEUM is proud to present a series of events entitled "Intangible Cultural Heritage Conversation Series." From June to August 2025, three sharing sessions will be conducted, featuring esteemed national-level inheritors of intangible cultural heritage, distinguished scholars, and celebrated artists. These sharing sessions will offer an in-depth exploration of the historical significance and contemporary innovations inherent in traditional crafts, including Cloisonné, Guangcai porcelain, and Pith Painting. This series aspires to provide participants with a rare opportunity to immerse themselves in the captivating world of intangible cultural heritage through thematic presentations and engaging discussions.

Sharing Session—“Pith Painting: A Contemporary Inheritance”

As a significant form of China’s intangible cultural heritage, Pith Painting offers a distinctive historical record of Guangzhou’s export art during the 19th century. Ms. Zhang Jing will present a compelling comparative analysis between contemporary Pith Paintings and the collection from the POLY MGM MUSEUM, fostering a dynamic artistic dialogue across the centuries.
