The exhibition is dedicated to exploring the development of the Maritime Silk Road and the cultural exchanges between the East and the West. The exhibition is organized into four thematic spaces: Monsoon, Cultural Origin, Integration, and Connections, each offering unique insights into the past, present, and future of the Maritime Silk Road and Macau.

Chapter 1 — Monsoon

The first chapter delves into the development of human understanding of the ocean from a macro perspective. It guides visitors through the evolution of maritime civilization and the Age of Discovery in chronological order, charting the shift in human perception from awe to understanding and practical use of the ocean. The exhibition showcases the advancements in navigation technology and explains the origin of the Maritime Silk Road.

Chapter 2 — Cultural Origin

Focusing on underwater archaeology, the second chapter prominently features cultural relics. It illuminates the mysteries of the Maritime Silk Road from an archaeological standpoint. Through the display of shipwrecks, salvaged cultural relics, and ancient port sites, visitors are visually transported through the history of the Maritime Silk Road. Additionally, this section offers detailed explanations of porcelain relics, illustrating the development of China’s maritime porcelain trade.
